SHOULD A CANVAS PRINT BE FRAMED?

Canvas prints do not require a frame. In fact, your photo will look amazing without a frame just as much as it would witha frame. Many people choose an unframed canvas for a modern or minimalistic style. Additionally, stretched canvas look beautiful and can be hung on the wall right away.

IS CANVAS OR PAPER BETTER?

Canvas and paper prints are both excellent choices, however there are things to consider when deciding to allow your photo to come to life. Paper prints are often less expensive; however, it is almost always the case that a frame needs to be invested in, making their cost similar. On the other hand, canvas photos more closely resemble the original work due to their natural textures. In addition, the color absorption in canvas is much better than that of paper. This gives them a softer look. By using archival ink and high quality canvas, this makes them a great choice for someone that wants a more durable print without sacrificing quality.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CANVAS AND ACRYLIC PRINTS?

Although acrylic prints are growing in popularity, canvas photo prints are definitely more popular and widely used. While acrylic prints achieve a sleek contemporary look, canvas prints are a classic choice for interior design and home decor. Acrylic prints offer a glossier, reflective look and canvas prints give an organic feel. Although, both choices are excellent for either type of space.

WHAT IS A MIRRORED CANVAS?

A mirrored canvas can also be called a mirrored edge or a mirrored wrap. A mirrored canvas is one of the more popular effects in canvas wrapping (particularly with photographs), where the last 1 ½ inches of the image is wrapped in order to create a smooth appearance on all the sides of the canvas. This creates a reflection-like appearance. With this mirrored image effect, no portion of the image is lost on the front side of the canvas. In contrast, classically stretched canvases take a portion of the original image and continue it around the sides.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STRETCHED AND UN-STRETCHED/ROLLED CANVASES?

A stretched canvas print means that the image has been wrapped around the edge of a frame, while an un-stretched/rolled canvas picture print is a printed canvas without the frame. Typically, customers that buy the rolled canvas want to make their own frame or ship the art. However, if that is not the case, we recommend the stretched canvas print option as your artwork arrives ready to hang on the wall immediately.

Custom acrylic prints are photos that have been transformed into fine wall art installations. These acrylic prints have a bright glossy contemporary feel, while looking frameless. The acrylic does an excellent job reflecting the light so that the photo has a vibrant glossy shine. What kind of paper would you like your image to be on? Gloss acrylic paper will make your photo look like it has sleek glossy polish.
